Guv visits old-age home, Nari Niketan

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore on Friday visited old-age home in Sector 15, Observation-Cum-Special Home in Sector 25 and Nari Niketan in Sector 26 here.

Chandigarh, July 13

Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore on Friday visited old-age home in Sector 15, Observation-Cum-Special Home in Sector 25 and Nari Niketan in Sector 26 here.

During the visit, Badnore inspected the kitchen, dormitory and the common area built inside these buildings for the occupants.

Senior citizens shared their daily activities, feedback and experience of living together in harmony at a specially designated old-age home.

The Administrator appealed to all occupants to actively share their concerns and needs timely with officials of the department so that immediate action can be taken for their betterment.

During the visit to the Observation-cum-Special Home, Badnore interacted with the juveniles and motivated them to change their outlook towards the life.

At Nari Niketan, women shared their accomplishments with the Administrator, which became possible due to the vocational training and support provided to them at the centre.
