Nine days after a Swift car was forcibly taken away from a youth, Amandeep Singh, at gunpoint on the Mullanpur-Baddi road, the Mohali police are said to have picked up three miscreants and worked out the case.

Though the police remained tightlipped on the matter, sources said the three miscreants were in police net.

Five carjackers, who came in a silver Swift car, had taken away a white Swift car from Amandeep Singh, who runs a salon at Sector 40, Chandigarh, at gunpoint on November 27 around 8.25 pm. After identifying the silver Swift car from CCTV footage, the police had rounded up the car owner, a resident of Bantpur village in the Mullanpur area.
