In another incident of theft from a parked car, a Panchkula resident lost Rs 25,000 from his purse in the Sector 11 market here. The incident took place around 7 pm.

Sahil, who is a businessman and resident of Sector 7, Panchkula, had come to the Sector 11 market here in his Honda City car to buy some stuff related to his mobile phone. His purse containing Rs 25,000 and an I-pad were kept on the back seat.

He had parked his car outside showroom number 46 in the market. When he returned after half an hour, he found a windowpane on the right side of the rear seat broken.

The miscreants took away the purse, but they failed to take away the I-pad from the broken windowpane.

Sahil informed the police about the incident. A case of theft was registered at the Sector 5 police station. The police will look into the CCTV footage of the nearby shops.

Three days ago, a purse containing Rs 3,600 and a diamond ring worth Rs 50,000 was lifted after breaking the windowpanes of a parked car in Pinjore. In another incident the same day, the windowpane of a car was broken again in Pinjore and Rs 20,000 and a tablet worth Rs 35,000 were stolen.
