Same auto used in two rape cases, court told

Chandigarh, October 13

Owner of the auto-rickshaw, who had rented it out to accused Mohammad Irfan, has told the court that the same vehicle was used in both incidents of gang-rape reported in 2016 and 2017. He, however, told the court that he was unaware of the activities of Irfan. 

Irfan is already facing life imprisonment in a similar case. The other accused is Kamal Hassan. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 16. A 21-year-old BA student, who worked at a call centre, was returning home from work when she was raped in Sector 29 in December, 2016.  —TNS
