Shooters Vikas, Ridhima shine

CHANDIGARH:Vikas Prasad scored 285 points to lead the field in the men’s small bore free rifle event on the second day of the ongoing 43rd Chandigarh State Shooting Championship at the Patiala Ki Rao Shooting Range here on Saturday.

Vikas Prasad scored 285 points to lead the field in the men’s small bore free rifle event on the second day of the ongoing 43rd Chandigarh State Shooting Championship at the Patiala Ki Rao Shooting Range here on Saturday. 

Simran Singh with 279 points finished the day in second position. He was closely followed by Simran Jot Singh (278 points) in third place. 

Ridhima Khindria scored 561 points to win the women’s air pistol event. Yashmeet Kaur (528 points) bagged the second position. 

In the men’s junior 50m pistol (NR) category, Devansh Vashishtha amassed 230 points to claim the top spot. Paramvir Singh (228 points) and Amandeep Singh (224 points) finished in second and third places, respectively. 

Bisman Lehal, meanwhile, scored 363 points to emerge as leader in the women’s air pistol (NR) category.  — TNS
