Chandigarh, December 7

St Anne’s School, Sector 32, defeated St Peter's School, Sector 37, to reach the semifinals of the boys U-13 category of the St Kabir Inter-school Basketball Championship.

Mohit led the team to victory by contributing 10 points, while Prince scored three points for the St Peter's School. Hosts St Kabir Public School, Sector 26, overpowered Saupin's School, Sector 32, 23-8. Kaila scored six points for the winning team and Apaar scored eight points for the Saupin's boys. Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, boys outplayed New Public School, Sector 18, 22-1. Uday Batra scored eight points for the winning team.

In the girls category, St Soldier School, Sector 27, defeated St Peter's 6-2 to sail into the semifinals. Avleen contributed four points in the St Soldier's win. Vrinda scored two points for the St Peter's team. Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, reached the semifinals by defeating New Public School 19-0. Manya scored nine points in the team's win. St Anne's girls registered a 25-14 win against Learning Paths School, Mohali. Anaya starred in the team's win as she contributed 21 points. Rutvi was the best performer for the Mohali outfit as she contributed six points. In the last match of the day, Strawberry Fields School blanked Vivek High School, Mohali, 19-2. 

Nanki scored seven points for the winning team. Anahat scored two points for the Vivek High team.
