Starcast of Punjabi movie promote film on bikes

In an unusual way the starcast of the upcoming movie ‘Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh’ and its crew reached the city today on their bikes. To promote their film they had held a bike rally from Chandigarh to Amritsar.

Based on the story line of a Marathi movie, ‘Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh’, an upcoming Punjabi movie is all set to hit the silver screen on May 24. The movie revolves around a Chandigarh-based girl who travels to Amritsar to reject a marriage proposal.The story takes a turn when she reaches Amritsar and meets a curious man, who eventually impresses her.

Sargun Mehta, Gippy Grewal and Rajpal Yadav are in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Karan R Guliani

While talking about the film, Gippy Grewal, a Punjabi actor said: “ The movie is an official remake of the Marathi film ‘Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai’ and after hearing the script of the movie and viewing the original film, I immediately agreed to make its Punjabi version and the touch of Punjabi humour and romance has made it more interesting.” ”This is Gippy’s first movie in which he has been paired against Sargun. On being asked, he said the one thing that he liked about Sargun was her dedication towards her work and one thing he disliked about her was the bad jokes she cracks every time. Besides the movie has a different storyline and is a light-hearted romantic comic movie,” said grewal.

Sargun Mehta who is in the lead role said,“ I feel lucky that I always got to play different characters. ‘Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh, is a fresh concept in Pollywood. Working with Gippy Grewal was a wonderful experience.”

Guliani said, this was my second film.Working with the experienced artists enhanced my knowledge about the direction and film sets.
