Schools were abuzz with patriotic fervour as students celebrated 72nd Independence Day with great zeal. Dressed as freedom fighters students enacted plays, sang patriotic songs, recited poems, particpated in quiz contests highlighting the background and importance of Independence Day.

Other than depicting their favourite freedom fighters, students also planted saplings and vowed for corruption and terrorism free India.

Police DAV Public School

An inter-house group song competition was organised on August 15. Students highlighted India’s unity in diversity though patriotic songs.

Guru Nanak Public School

A special morning assembly was organised wherein students sang patriotic songs, performed dance and gave speech on India’s independence. Students sang ‘Kadam kadam badaye ja, Khushi ke geet gaye ja’ which left everyone awestruck.

Babies Paradise

Tinty tots came dressed as freedom fighters, including Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Udham Singh, Jawaharlal Nehru etc. To make it a memorable moment students brought tricolour eatables such as pasta and macaroni in their tiffins.

BCM Kindergarten

The entire school was decked up with tricolour balloons and cutouts. Students came dressed in white uniform, tricolour caps and bands. Kids raised slogans, including Vande Mataram, Mera Bharat Mahaan, Jai Hind Jai Bharat and Satyamev Jayate.

Bal Bharati Public School

An inter-house patriotic dance competition was organised for students of pre primary, primary and senior wing.

BVM School

School campus reverberated with patriotic songs and instilled sense of patriotism among students. Children paid homage to the freedom fighters.

HVM Convent School

A special morning assembly was conducted in which students gave speech, recited poems on the significance of Independence Day and role of numerous freedom fighters.

GGN Public School

Primary section of the school bore a festive look as classrooms were decorated with tri-coloured flags and balloons.

GGS Public School

To raise awareness about freedom fighters, teachers dressed up as Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and depicted their contribution to freedom struggle through a small skit.

Maple Bear Playway

Tiny tots hoisted National Flag and came dressed as freedom fighters to pay homeage to great leaders.

Ryan International School

Students took a pledge towards a clean and terrorism free India to commemorate the sovereignty of the country. Kids also set free white pigeons to mark freedom and peace.

NSPS

The celebrations commenced with hoisting of the National Flag by school principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich. Students of primary wing presented a cultural programme, including speech, patriotic songs and poems based on life of freedom fighters.

DAV Public School

All the corridors were decorated with artefacts instilling sense of patriotism. Students came in attire resembling freedom fighters and national leaders to spread a message of love and peace.

Cherubs Preschool

Students danced to the tunes of ‘Nanna munna rahin hoon’, ‘Yeh desh hai veer jawaano ka’ etc. Kids made tri coloured Gandhi caps and celebrated 72nd Independence Day. A special slide show on national heroes was shown to students.

GNI Public School

A plethora of events took place, including speech, poetry and choreography depicting India under British rule and after Independence. Students also participated in slogan writing, paper craft, rakhi making, cookery, poem recitation, mono acting etc.

Doon Valley Cambridge

The event commenced with hoisting of National Flag followed by National Anthem and march-past. Students staged a show on Jallianwala Bagh massacre as well.

Tagore Public School

Students held a spectacular march-past to mark 72nd Independence Day. The scintillating choreography, naari shakti, Vande Mataram etc .

Adarsh Public School

The gamut of celebration activities included patriotic songs and a dance performance by tiny tots .
