1 succumbs, 118 test +ve in Ludhiana district

The number of people who tested tested positive for Covid today in the district was 118, while one person lost his life to the virus. The total positive patients in the district reached 22,942 and 906 persons have lost their lives so far.

Today, a 62-year-old man from Palam Vihar, who was also a patient of hypertension, lost his life. He was admitted in the Civil Hospital.

At present, there are 898 active patients in the district. A total of 118 new patients from the district tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Till date, a total of 4,60,570 samples have been taken, out of which reports of 4,58,050 samples have been received. Of these, 4,31,845 samples were found negative, while the reports of 2,520 samples were pending. Now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 22,942, while 3,263 patients are related to other districts/states.

The number of persons who have been kept under home quarantine in the district till date is 50,917 and at present, the number of such persons is 2,061. Today, 187 persons were sent for home quarantine.

A total of 2,349 samples of suspected patients were sent for testing today and their results are expected shortly.
