Chandigarh, September 15

The city today reported 347 new cases of Covid-19, taking its tally to 8,592.

A 45-year-old man from Burail, who was declared brought dead at the GMCH in Sector 32, tested positive for the virus. With the fresh fatality, the UT toll rose to 96.

A total of 202 patients were discharged post-recovery today. Senior Deputy Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma tested positive yesterday. In a Facebook post, he stated that he had already isolated himself seven days ago. Two more MC employees had tested positive yesterday. — TNS
