Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a tweet said that “Look forward to collaboration wid Australia especially in the fields of skilling, incubation centres and R &D (sic).”

According to a statement released by the government, skill and incubation centres were among the three areas that were discussed at a meeting between Australian High Commissioner to India Harinder Sidhu, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia.

Sidhu said India and Australia could collaborate and partner in 10 key sectors, including the flagship area of education. The government listed its priorities as education and health.

Kejriwal and Sisodia informed the high commissioner about the world-class skill centres at Delhi and the excellent results achieved in the past three years, while Sidhu talked about the understanding with the Singapore government on the first skill centre.

"The Chief Minister also told her that Delhi was soon going to open 25 more skill centres. He and the Deputy Chief Minister have sought an understanding with Australia for the upcoming skill centres. The high commissioner answered in an affirmative and asked a detailed proposal to be sent to be taken further," the statement said.
