Woman pickpocket held at Metro station

New Delhi: The police have arrested a woman for theft. The accused has been identified as Sunita (50), resident of Jahangirpuri.Complainant Radhey Shyam Singh told the police that on June 2, the accused stole a jewellery kit from his brother’s wife Sushma Singh’s bag when they were waiting for the turn at Metro station checking counter. On June 3, an e-FIR was registered by the complainant, he said. A team of special staff (Metro Unit) was constituted to crack the case. TNS

Auto fare revised

New Delhi: The Transport Department notified the revision of autorickshaw fare on Wednesday. The current base fare (since 2013) is Rs 25 for first 2 km. And the revised base fare will be Rs 25 for first 1.5 km. After 1.5 km, the revised fare will be Rs 9.5 for every additional kilometer, earlier it was Rs 8 for every additional kilometre.The night charges and the luggage charges are the same. TNS
