Panjab University launches website for BCom admissions

CHANDIGARH: With the launch of the website for centralised admissions to BCom-I for 12 colleges of Chandigarh, helpline numbers of the Panjab University flooded with calls enquiring about the admission schedule.

With the launch of the website for centralised admissions to BCom-I for 12 colleges of Chandigarh, helpline numbers of the Panjab University flooded with calls enquiring about the admission schedule.

Records of the university single window revealed that around 300 calls were received at three helpline numbers of which over 50 per cent are related to the schedule of the BCom admissions.

PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover and Controller of Examination Prof Parvinder Singh launched the website. Director, Computer Centre, Prof RK Singla; Coordinator for Centralised Admission for BCom I, Prof Sanjay Kaushik; were among those others present.

Students can now apply for 2,310 seats of BCom-I through the website http: //bcomadmissions.puchd.ac.in./admissions-olleges.php.

There are 1,260 seats in co-education colleges, 910 seats in women colleges and 140 seats in men’s colleges. For any query, the students can contact only through email at [email protected].

In year 2015-16, as many as 8,714 students had submitted online applications for BCom-I. Coordinator for Centralised Admission for BCom I Prof Sanjay Kaushik said 7,407 students took admission.
