Phagwara, January 18
The city police, Phagwara, headed by Station House Officer Onkar Singh Brar, succeeded to arrest four criminals-cum-drug peddlers and recovered three motorcycles, 33 intoxicant injections, one pair of earrings and a mobile phone from their possession last night.
The SHO while confirming the arrests said here today that the arrested miscreants had been identified as Hira Singh of Sangatpur village, Onkar Singh and Sahil Verma, both residents of Dosanjh Kalan, and Lovepreet Singh of Khatti village.
Brar said 17 intoxicant injections and a stolen motorcycle was recovered from the Hira,16 intoxicating injections, a pair of gold earrings and two stolen bikes were recovered from both Onkar and Sahil, while a mobile phone and a bike were recovered from Lovepreet.
The SHO said the arrested suspects were wanted by the police in several criminal cases for a long time. Several more disclosures were expected from them during further interrogations. Various cases have been registered against them.
In another incident, the police have arrested a drug peddler, Mohammad Asif of Kashmir, last night. The police have recovered 50 gm of charas from his possession. — OC
