In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old boy shot himself dead in Mamnika village of Pinangwan block in Nuh on Thursday.
According to the police, marital discord between the parents has emerged as prima facie reason so far.
According to Pinangwan SHO Tarun Dahiya, the body has been sent to Mandi Khera hospital for post-mortem and investigation is on.
The investigation has revealed that the weapon used was illegal and the police are yet to find its source.
According to complainant Shaukeen, his neighbour Asar and his wife Naazneen always fought with each other.
She took her 12-year-old son to her parents’ house in Aali village. The village elders had gone to get her back.
“She had filed a case of domestic violence in local police station against her husband and they were on their way to get it quashed when their son shot himself,” said Shaukeen.
Following this, a complaint of suicide has been registered in addition to Arms Act.
The incident has yet again highlighted the menace of illegal weapons being easily available in Nuh especially to teens now.
The police had two days ago nabbed two men for allegedly advertising sale of illegal weapons on social media.
One of them was a Class XI student and other is a JBT qualified aspiring teacher. The police had recovered an illegal weapon from them.
