Faridabad, July 30

Continuing the drive at Khori village colony, the authorities concerned removed around 220 constructions in the drive that was cut short due to rain on Friday.

“Though we started around 10.30 am, the drive was halted at 2 pm due to a downpour,” said an official of the civic body who claimed that around 220 constructions were razed on the 17th day today.

The total count of the structures demolished till date has reached around 8,400 though the officials of the Municipal Corporation are tightlipped over the official figure.

The drive was launched on July 14 in compliance with the Supreme Court order on June 7. —TNS
