Yamunanagar, January 12

A man allegedly cut 272 trees of eucalyptus illegally from the panchayat land in Rampur Raainya village in Sadhaura block of the district.

On the complaint of Bhajan Lal, Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO), Sadhaura, a case was registered against Prem Chand of the village.

The BDPO said after receiving information that a man had cut eucalyptus trees, the panchayat secretary of the village and Social Education and Panchayat Officer, Sadhaura, were sent to the spot, where they found that 272 trees were stolen from the panchayat land illegally. —
