3 held with illicit liquor

Ambala: The district police, under its special drive against liquor smuggling, arrested three more persons in separate cases and claimed to have recovered 150 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession, the officials said here on Friday. According to the police, Vijay Kumar of Ambala City, Ajay Kumar of Mahesh Nagar near here and Manoj alias Shubham of Ambala Cantonment were held with illicit liquor. TNS

Biker killed in mishap

A motorcyclist, Munish Kumar of Barara near here, was killed in a hit-and-run case near Barara, the police said here on Friday. According to the police, the accident took place when a recklessly driven unknown car hit the motorcycle on which the victim was riding near a railway flyover. A case has been registered. — TNS
