GURUGRAM:Five members of a family in Gurugram were killed on Saturday when their vehicle fell intothe Ganges at Jatpur village in Meerut.

Five members of a family in Gurugram were killed on Saturday when their vehicle fell into the Ganges at Jatpur village in Meerut.

Eleven occupants were headed for a holiday to Haridwar. The driver of the vehicle lost control and fell into the canal.

Residents of the area rescued five occupants while a woman was still missing. The five persons who were rescued were admitted to the district hospital.

“A woman is missing and efforts are on to locate her. Divers are searching for her and the wreckage of the car from deep waters,” said Avinash Pandey, Superintendent of Police.
