Hisar, January 17

The INLD candidate in the Adampur byelection held in November 2022 Kurda Ram Nambardar has joined the Congress under the leadership of former minister Kumari Selja at the Congress bhavan here today.

Recently, Nambardar had announced that he would leave the INLD, alleging that he is not given due recognition in the party. As the INLD candidate, Nambardar who was a resident of Balsamand village, had polled about 5,000 votes. The BJP candidate, Bhavya Bishnoi, had defeated Congress candidate Jai Prakash in the bypoll, which was necessitated after the resignation of Kuldeep Bishnoi from the Congress. Bishnoi had won the seat for the Adampur in 2019 Assembly poll.
