After sexual abuse ‘by stepbrother’, minor pregnant

YAMUNANAGAR: A teenager, sexually abused allegedly by her stepbrother in a Karnal village, is two months’ pregnant.

A teenager, sexually abused allegedly by her stepbrother in a Karnal village, is two months’ pregnant. The matter has been reported to the Child Welfare Committee, which has counselled the victim.

The 17-year-old victim, with two sisters and a brother, is staying at the house of her paternal uncle at a colony in Yamunanagar.

A zero FIR was registered against Kamal Kishor on Thursday. The case was transferred to the Karnal police as the crime had reportedly been committed in a village of Karnal district.

The victim stated that her mother had died 10 years ago. She said after her mother’s death, her father married a woman who had a son, Kamal Kishor (25), from her previous marriage.

“We had been living in our village in Karnal district. Kamal Kishor had been sexually abusing me since I was 12 years old. I told my stepmother several times, but she never paid attention to my complaint. I never told my father about the incident fearing a quarrel in the family,” stated the victim.

According to information, the case came to light when the girl went to a private hospital complaining of stomach ache.

After medical examination, doctor found that the girl was two months pregnant. They informed the police about the pregnancy. On the complaint of the victim, a case was registered.
