Alwar lynching: Victim’s family to get Rs8 lakh

CHANDIGARH: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced financial assistance of Rs5 lakh to the family of Rakbar Khan, alias Akbar Khan.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced financial assistance of Rs5 lakh to the family of Rakbar Khan, alias Akbar Khan.

A resident of Kaul village in Nuh district, he had fallen victim to mob lynching in Alwar on the suspicion of cow smuggling.

According to an official spokesman, Haryana Waqf Board chairman Raheesha Khan has announced financial assistance of Rs3 lakh to his family.

A total of Rs8 lakh will be provided as financial assistance by the government. Rakbar Khan is survived by four daughters and three sons.
