ROHTAK: Stubble burning is under check in the district.

Rohtak, November 21

Stubble burning is under check in the district. “Of the 7,000 cases of stubble burning reported from the state so far, only 14 have been detected in the district,” DC RS Verma said.

He further said the functioning of brick-kilns located in the district had been stopped. “The operation of hot-mix plants and stone crushers, and construction and demolition activities have been halted as per guidelines of the NGT and directions of the apex court.”

Deputy Director (Agriculture) Rohtash Singh said teams and mobile vans sent to villages across the district for spreading awareness had achieved the goal of minimising stubble burning. — TNS
