The work on only 68 of the 226 announcements made by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the district in the last four years have been completed so far; a success rate of 30 per cent.
A total of 67 projects are under progress and the work is yet to start on 85 projects. Six projects have been found to be unfeasible.
According to the latest status report, the Chief Minister announced six projects during his first visit to Panipat on December 20, 2014, 80 in 2015, 10 in 2016, 43 in 2017 and 87 this year. Khattar announced five projects on April 29, two on June 10, 38 on July 18 and 28 on July 20. He announced two projects on July 25, eight on August 28, two on September 4 and one each on October 12 and October 17.
The major projects included a road along the drain 2 from the Barsat road to the Sanauli road, a solid waste management plant, a road to divert traffic from the Assandh road to the TDI flyover and a “Gau abhyaranya” in Nain village.

Beautification of space under the elevated highway, announced on December 20, 2014, was completed in July this year. Widening of the Chaajpur-Siwah (Chautala) road via Sanauli was completed. The municipal corporation was sanctioned Rs 23.69 lakh for the revival of the Hali Lake and the work was in progress. The stone for a new bus stand in Sewah village was laid in April this year and the work is in progress. A total of 79 illegal colonies in the city have been regularised. The government has released Rs 100 crore for shifting a cooperative sugar mill to Dahar village, but the work is yet to start.
