Kurukshetra, July 20

Kurukshetra University on Wednesday equipped various admission windows with electronic data capture (EDC) machine to accept bank cards for fees payment.

Vice-Chancellor Prof KC Sharma said the scheme was introduced to boost government’s digital payment programme.

He said the EDC machines would be provided at all cash counters to enable students to use debit or credit cards for various payments on the campus. Sharma said the KU had been rolling out digitisation in various departments. Steps were being taken to make Haryana’s oldest university into a paperless institute, he said. — TNS
