16 schools participate in annual inter-school contests in Dalhousie

DALHOUSIE: The Himotkarsh Jan Kalyan Parishad, an NGO, held the 20th annual inter-school competitions on the premises of Dalhousie Public School (DPS), Dalhousie, on Thursday.

The Himotkarsh Jan Kalyan Parishad, an NGO, held the 20th annual inter-school competitions on the premises of Dalhousie Public School (DPS), Dalhousie, on Thursday. Over 120 students hailing from 16 schools from across Chamba district participated in the four-day competitions.

In the painting competition organised at Sacred Heart School, Dalhousie, Lucky Kumar from Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Bathri, stood first, Diksha from the GSSS, Chowari, was second, Nafisa from Sacred Heart came third and consolation prize was given to Kumar Rahul from Hill Top School.

In the debate competition organised at Hill Top Public School, Dalhousie, Affia from Paramount School, Kihar, stood first, Niyati from Sacred Heart came second and Subhasheesh from the DPS was third.

In the quiz competition held at Sacred Heart School, Dalhousie, first position was shared between students of the DPS, Dalhousie, and Paramount School, Kakira, second position was shared between the GSSS, Ghatsani, and the GSSS, Chowari, and Himalayan Public School secured the third position.

In the final completion held at The DPS, Dalhousie, first prize was shared between the students of the DPS and Kids Camp School, Chowari, second position was shared between Hill Top Public School, Dalhousie, and Himalayan Public School, Chowari, third position was secured by the GSSS, Mail, and a consolation prize was given to Shivangi Public School, Bathri.
