4 arrested for theft at sealed unit in Baddi

Four youths were arrested for stealing scrap from the sealed premises of Paonta Sahib-based Indian Technomac Company Limited, involved in tax embezzlement of Rs 21,000 crore, on Thursday night.

A team of Home Guards, who have been deputed at the site, caught the youths red-handed. They have been identified as Akshay Kumar, Azad, Joni and Arjun, residents of Bangala Basti at Majra in Paonta Sahib.

Since the rear wall of the unit collapsed a few days ago, it has provided an easy access to the miscreants to steal scrap from the closed unit. Five Home Guards jawans have been deputed to guard the premises as its management has duped various agencies of more than Rs 6,000 crore. — TNS
