After HC order, student admitted to PGDCA course

HAMIRPUR: A student had to move the High Court for securing admission to Government Degree College at Badsar in the district.

Hamirpur, September 21

A student had to move the High Court for securing admission to Government Degree College at Badsar in the district. It was only after the orders from the HC the college administration allowed admission to the student.

Rubal Thakur, who had completed her BCA course from the same college, applied for the admission to the PGDCA course but he lost his marksheet of Class X following which the college administration denied him admission. Though being a student of the same college, his documents were already with the college that he had submitted during the time of admission to the BCA course. Still he procured a duplicate marksheet from the HP School Education Board at Dharamsala and appeared before the college administration for the admission. But to his surprise, the college administration again denied him admission . Disappointed, Rubal moved the HPHC that ordered the college authorities to allow admission to the student. Meena Sood, Principal of the college, said Rubal Thakur was admitted to the college as per orders of HPHC. — OC
