President of Himachal Youth Congress Vikramaditya Singh today termed BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s allegations as baseless. He said the BJP was trying to malign the image of the Congress government by using false propaganda to gain political mileage in Assembly elections. He was here to attend the Congress Youth Sammelan organised at Bali Chowki.

Talking to The Tribune Vikramaditya said the BJP needs to introspect given its poor governance record in UP and Haryana.

He said, “The political campaigning of the BJP in HP was like a marriage procession without a bridegroom. They are using posters of PM Modi because they lack leadership in the state.”

He claimed Union Health Minister JP Nadda was misleading people by claiming the Central government had released Rs 600 crore to prepare DPR of national highways sanctioned by the Centre for Himachal Pradesh.

“The state has progressed in health, education, road infrastructure and other sectors under the Congress government. Elections should be held under the leadership of CM Virbhadra Singh,” he asserted.

He said some miscreants were trying to malign the image of Health Minister Kaul Singh Thakur by circulating CDs, adding the Youth Congress would urge the state government to investigate the matter.

He said the Youth Congress would urge the party high command to give opportunities to the youth in the upcoming election.
