Palampur, April 15
The Congress has lost ground in the state and is fighting for its survival. The party in the state is a divided house and is facing a leadership crisis, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur here yesterday.
Development of Kangra top priority of govt
My government has always given top priority to development of Kangra. We have set up new health institutions, schools and other important institutions in Kangra district in the past four years. — Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister
Thakur, while addressing mediapersons here, regretted that the Congress had failed to play the role of an effective opposition in the Assembly and outside as well. He said that in the present scenario, the BJP had no threat from the Congress and AAP.
He ruled out the possibility of a third front in the state saying that the Himachal Vikas Congress formed by Sukh Ram was a big failure. He added that the BJP was moving ahead to achieve the Mission Repeat 2022 and would easily win 50 seats to form the government again.
He said that he believed in the overall development of the state. The creation of three municipal corporations, blocks, tehsils, civil hospitals, and primary health centres were decisions taken in that direction.
He said that his government had launched a number of welfare schemes and the party would reap dividends for this achievement in the Assembly elections.
