Donations go hi-tech at Kangra temples

Dharamsala, November 17

Devotees paying obeisance at major temples of Kangra district, including Chamundaji, Jwalaji and Brajeshwari Devi, can now donate using QR Code-based system. Kangra Deputy Commissioner Nipun Jindal said implementation of the new system would ease donations and also check theft.

The temples have been made hi-tech for convenience, more security and transparency. A district-level command centre had also been established to get CCTV feed for monitoring the activities going on in these temples. This would ensure better functioning of the shrines, Jindal said.

The DC further stated that face biometric machines had also been installed in all temples so that employees could register their attendance on time. — TNS
