Doon ex-MLA’s nephew, 3 others assaulted in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh

Six armed men assaulted the nephew of former Doon Congress MLA Ramkumar Chaudhary at Baddi in this district on Wednesday night.

Sohan Singh Kundlas was attacked at Dawat Chowk as he was returning home around 11.30. He, along with his three friends, suffered injuries. Locals rushed them to the Community Health Centre, where their condition is said to be stable.

The miscreants allegedly attacked them without any provocation and also damaged their two cars.

Police are investigating the incident that has shocked the family as this is the second such attack on the Chaudhary family in recent days. The former MLA’s cousin was murdered in Baddi in May.

Chaudhary alleged that the armed men also fired in the air, adding that the law and order situation in the area was deteriorating by each passing day.
