Preparations are going on in full swing to put up a grand show at the local Thodo Ground to welcome BJP’s national president JP Nadda during his maiden visit to the state on February 27.

State president Dr Rajiv Bindal and party organisational secretary Pawan Rana are supervising the arrangements for the last few days. An impressive podium was also being readied for the occasion.

Leaders from all 17 Vidhan Sabha seats of the Shimla Lok Sabha constituency comprising Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts will attend the event besides senior leaders, including the former chief ministers PK Dhumal and Shanta Kumar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

An impressive gathering of 15,000 party functionaries will welcome Nadda for which five to six committees comprising party workers have been constituted to oversee various works.
