Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (HPERC) chairman Devendra Kumar Sharma was presented the Aqua Foundation’s Dam Safety Lifetime Achievement Award during the 15th World Aqua Congress and Dam Safety Conclave being held in New Delhi. The award is given for contribution to the field of dam safety.

He was Chairman, Bhakra Beas Management Board, from 2017 to July 2020. The theme of this year’s World Aqua Congress was ‘Valuing water (beyond pricing environmental, social and cultural value). — TNS
