Solan, May 28

Himachal Pradesh on Thursday reported three new cases of coronavirus, taking the state’s case tally to 276.

Solan reported the three new cases of the deadly disease, taking the total in the district to 23. The new cases include a mother-son duo, who had recently returned from Delhi and a Baddi-based woman. 

The mother and son were under institutional quarantine at an indoor stadium in Baddi after their return, while the other woman had entered Baddi through an escape route, said Solan Medical Officer (Health) NK Gupta.

The woman was residing on the Sai Road at Baddi and her random sample had been taken on May 26 at CHC Baddi. She had a travel history to Uttar Pradesh.

The health staff was mapping her contacts.

With the latest cases, there are 14 active cases in the district, while 9 others have been cured. Notably, the 14 positive cases have been detected in Baddi since May 20 in returnees from other states like West Bengal, Delhi and UP.
