HPU to fill vacant posts



Himachal Pradesh University would conduct interviews at the earliest to fill the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in English, Hindi and Sanskrit departments, which were advertised in January, said Chairman, Screening Committee, Prof Arvind Kalia. He said the scrutiny committee had evaluated the marks obtained by the individual candidates and the same would be displayed on the university web portal: http://www.recruitment.hpushimla.in. He advised the applicants to visit the University Recruitment Branch personally between December 1 and 3 for any clarification.

Constitution Day celebrated at HPU

Constitution Day was celebrated by the department of interdisciplinary, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, through a virtual event. The faculty members and the students actively participated in the webinar. The Director of the department, Prof Prakash Chandel, said the webinar was based on the theme 'Preamble of the Constitution' and the discussion on the topic was led by Baldev Singh Negi, faculty, Rural Development Department of Interdisciplinary Studies. Introduction to the Preamble, the purpose of having it, its features, nature and role of the state legislature, executive and judiciary were also discussed.

DC honours second NEET topper

Una Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma honoured Aaastha Parashar, the second topper of NEET. Aastha, who belongs to Raipur Maidan village in Bangana subdivision, had secured the second place in the state this year. The DC said Aastha was a source of inspiration for other girls, who aspired for distinctions in academics.
