Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who was in Jaswan Pragpur on Wednesday, announced schemes worth Rs 110 crore for the area. These include two major water supply schemes worth Rs 98 crore under the aegis of BRICS Banks.
He also announced a new industrial area to be developed at Channaur in Jaswan Pragpur.
The Chief Minister announced the upgrade of three rural roads to major district roads and Rs 3 crore for the repair of existing roads around Sansarpur Terris. He announced Rs 35 crore for the improvement of water supply schemes for Rakkar tehsil area under BRICS Bank project, Rs 63 crore for improvement of water supply scheme for the Jaswan area, Rs 50 lakh for the construction of Dada Siba bus stand and Rs 61.29 crore for a bridge on the Swan near Khanpur.
He announced the opening of a health sub-centre at Kroa, Saleti and Aloh, construction of labour rooms at CHC Dada Sibba, upgrade of 30-bedded Community Health Centre (CHC), Dada Sibba, to 50-bedded Civil Hospital, upgrade of five health sub-centres to primary health centres, creation of two posts of radiologist for CHC, Kasba Kotla, and Puirsaluhi. He announced Rs 1 crore each for the construction of mini secretariat buildings at Dada Sibba and Rakkar, opening of pharmacy college at Kuhna (Rakkar) in Una district and Model ITI at Sansarpur Terris.
