DAV Manali student Rishita Thakur bagged the third position in an event organised by the District Disaster Management Authority on the Environment Day. Students of 250 schools of Kullu district had participated in the competition. Thakur presented a ‘Hazard and resource map’ of Nasogi panchayat, here, to make people aware of steps to be taken during natural calamities.

English Elocution Competition

As many as eight schools will participate in the BL Modi Memorial Inter-school English Elocution Competition 2022 that is being organised by Bishop Cotton School, here, on July 15 and 16. The competition is being organised for the past 24 years to encourage good English-speaking skill. Two awards, Best Speaker and Most Promising Speaker, will be awarded in each division. The competition was started in his memory B L Modi, a teacher who served in Bishop Cotton School from October 1966 to July 1982.

Webinar held at St Bede’s College

Five technical sessions were held during a webinar on ‘Revised Accreditation and Assessment Framework in Higher Educational Institutions’. The event was sponsored by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and held at St Bede’s College, Shimla. Keynote address was given by former Director of the Development Management Institute, Patna, Dr Hemnath Rao Hanumankar.
