Gagan Jamwal from nearby Thehar village who once sang filmy songs at farewell parties during his school and college days, now sings for Bollywood movies released his pahari album “pinnie hai ajj”. Before releasing the album on drinking liquor, he made it clear that he was a teetotaler and this song was just a satire.
He released his album in the presence of his schoolteacher Chander Shekhar Dogra, who first motivated him to switch over from science to music stream.
His pahari song album, “Bhabho mera vihah karyee de” is also going to be released soon. Briefing mediapersons on the occasion, Jamwal said before establishing himself, he had struggled for seven years in Mumbai. In his early years as a struggler, he sang at live shows in India and abroad and sang songs under the direction of renowned music directors Rajesh Roshan, Javed Ali, Raja Hassan and Siddharth Mahadevan. — OC
