Train with 1,473 passengers arrives at Una from Goa

A special train, carrying 1,473 stranded Himachali passengers from Goa, reached Una railway station on Friday morning.

A special train, carrying 1,473 stranded Himachali passengers from Goa, reached Una railway station on Friday morning. As per the district administration, 22 of the passengers were from is Bilaspur, Chamba-129, Hamirpur-52, Kangra-317, Kinnaur-1, Kullu-397, Lahul Spiti-2, Mandi-406, Shimla-77, Sirmour-23, Solan-37 and Una-10.

The passengers deboarded the train district-wise and were handed over sanitisers, masks and refreshment packets. After a mandatory health screening, the passengers boarded state transport buses waiting to take them to their respective districts.

DC Sandeep Kumar said all the passengers will be institutionally quarantined in their respective districts where a swab test to rule out coronavirus will be done.
