Ludhiana, February 24

The city police have registered a case under sections 509 of the IPC, 67 of the Information Technology Act and 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act against Sanjeev Kaushal, a resident of Sector 39, Ludhiana-Chandigarh Road here. He has been charged with posting indecent pictures of his wife Shaheena Kaushal on the social media in connivance with his paramour.

In a complaint lodged with the police, his wife said their daughter took tuition from her husband’s paramour. Her husband became friends with the tutor and soon, they got intimate.

“The tutor was in the habit of instigating my husband against me and the duo hatched a conspiracy to defame me by taking some indecent pictures and posting these on the social media,” said the complainant, adding that she had to undergo mental harassment due to this undesirable act.

The police are investigating the matter, but no arrest has been made so far.
