New Delhi, November 23

Union Minister Jitendra Singh today inaugurated the Srinagar Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), as he said Jammu and Kashmir was the first among the states and UTs to have two Benches of the tribunal.

In June last year, Singh had inaugurated the CAT Bench in Jammu.

“With today’s historic decision, all three important agencies of DoPT — CAT, CIC and CVC — are fully functional in UTs of J&K and Ladakh,” said the minister. — TNS
