Recoveries surpass fresh cases in J&K

With 1,549 positive patients recovered and discharged from various hospitals across the UT on Thursday, J&K Covid recoveries surpassed new cases for the fourth consecutive day today.

Rate better in Kashmir than Jammu

  • Recovery rate in Kashmir is 79 per cent (out of total 43,142 positive cases, 34,084 have recovered).

  • In the Jammu division, the recovery rate has reached nearly 55 per cent (13,995 cases, out of the total 25,472 positive cases, have recovered).

As many as 1,104 new cases were reported during the past 24 hours while recoveries were 1,549 (960 in Jammu province and 589 in Kashmir).

With today’s 1,549 recoveries, the number of total positive cases recovered has reached 48,079, over 70 per cent of the total cases across the UT. As many as 34,084 positive cases have recovered in Kashmir and 13,995 in the Jammu division.

Recovery rate in the Kashmir valley is 79 per cent (out of total 43,142 positive cases, 34,084 have recovered). As far as the Jammu division is concerned, the recovery rate has reached nearly 55 per cent (13,995 cases have recovered out of the total 25,472 positive cases).

On Wednesday, highest 2,796 recoveries were reported in J&K with 1,249 new positive cases. In Jammu district, where the recovery rate had dangerously dropped from 64 to 31 in the first 15 days of September, is witnessing encouraging trend with recoveries increasing rapidly. On September 23, Jammu recorded 230 positive cases, but the recoveries were 1,069.

Some districts of the Kashmir Valley like Anantnag and Banidpora are also witnessing the same positive trend. On Wednesday, positive cases in Anantnag and Bandipora were 40 and 41, respectively while recoveries were 436 and 215. Same is the story of Udhampur, where 200 patients recovered while 48 tested positive.
