Hoshiarpur, February 11
The Garhdiwala police arrested three persons and recovered a huge quantity of liquor, a pistol and eight live cartridges from their possession.
According to information, ASI Sarabjit said the police signalled a car to stop for checking at a naka at the Kulian turn. During checking, the police recovered 108 bottles of liquor from the vehicle.
The police also recovered a pistol and eight live cartridges from the car occupants. The suspects have been identified as Amanpal Singh, alias Aman, Harjot Singh, a resident of Jattan Mohalla, Gadhdiwala, and Paramjeet Singh, alias Sodi, a resident of Bahla.
A case has been registered against the suspects. Further investigations were on.
