Jalandhar: ‘Euphoria 2020’, a mega event, was organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, on Saturday under the supervision of principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra. The annual event of the college was graced by Dr Lakhwinder Singh Gill, deputy director, DPI (Colleges). Various departments of the college installed their stalls during the programme, displaying colours from all shades of human of life and culture, whilst the popular game of Tambola, food stalls and fun games were enjoyed by one and all. Students presented cultural itemsThe chief guest Lakhwinder Singh Gill expressed his delight on the exemplar achievements put forth by students of the college. and lauded the efforts of the institution for ensuring an all-round development of its students whilst also stressing the importance of such events to be constantly run parallel to the academics. Various on-the-spot lucky draw prizes for the audiences were put forth by the college. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra expressed his happiness over the success of the programme and delivered the vote of thanks to everyone.

Jalandhar: New St Soldier sen sec Public School, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Jalandhar, organised farewell party for Class XII Arts, commerce and ccience students. NK Handa, president of the school,director, Sushma Handa, manager FC Verma, principal Punam Nischal were present on the occasion. Mansi, a student of Class XII, Commerce, was crowned as Miss New St Soldier and Class XII, Arts, Gaurav was selected as Master New St Soldier. Various games, modelling, dance, among other events were held to make the occasion a memorable one.

Brainstorm contest

Jalandhar: The PG department of commerce and business administration of KMV on Saturday organised an inter-college competition brainstorm 2020. Eight activities were held on the occasion. The chief Guest for the event was principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi. Over 200 participants from 11 colleges of Jalandhar and also from outside the city participated in the event. In various events, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, DAV College, Jalandhar, MLU DAV College, SSSS College, Doaba College, Hindu Kanya College and LKC bagged top positions and the overall trophy was bagged by DAV College, for their overall outstanding performance. Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such events provide a platform to the students to showcase their talent and creativity besides getting practical exposure.TNS
