Hoshiarpur, November 15
Mata Bhajan Kaur Nikkian Karumblan Children’s Literature Awards were awarded to Ranjit Azad Kanjhla of Dhuri in Sangrur, Navdeep Singh Badesa of Baba Bakala Sahib in Amritsar, Raghuvir Singh Kaloa in Mahilpur of Hoshiarpur, Sunilam Mand of Kharar in Mohali and Kulwinder Kaur of Nangal in Ropar by Sur Sangam Educational Trust, Mahilpur, for their outstanding contribution to children’s literature.
The award function was organised at Khalsa College, Mahipur. The function was presided over by Baldev Singh Badhan, former joint director, National Book Trust. He hailed the efforts of the Nikkian Karumblan. — OC
