Manpreet Kaur Jawanda, a passionate and dedicated girl from the city, has made her foray into acting and is making her presence felt in the Punjabi entertainment industry.
This 28-year-old has already done a few movies. She had appeared in a movie, ‘Ishq na hove rabba’, and has acted as lead in short films too such as ‘Truth of life’ and ‘Janour’ and ‘Chiddian da Chamba’.
Now she will be seen in a movie, ‘Jamraud’, which is set to release later this year.
She has also been doing theatre with comedian Bhotu Shah. Having been remained as Miss Amritsar 2017 and a semi-finalist of ‘Miss World Punjaban’, Jawanda always wanted to make it big in the Punjabi film industry. Jawanda said her journey had just started and she was now aspiring to work in more films and wants to make her parents proud.
She had already been working as an anchor and radio jockey since 2014.
A daughter of an ex-servicemen, Jawanda has a long wish list. She said though she was getting several offers in modelling but she did not want to pursue it.
Jawanda doesn’t miss a chance to mention that if given an opportunity, she would love to appear in music videos with her favourites Satinder Sartaj, Kamal Heer and Lakhwinder Wadali.
“I have always admired these singers all my life and it is my dream to work with them, and I am waiting for the moment when I will be given a chance to work with these doyens of the industry,” shares Jawanda.
She also says that she wants to be a successful actress, for which she has been doing hardwork and is not stopping.
