Man arrested on rape charge

JALANDHAR: A 25-year-old woman from Shahkot filed a complaint with the police that she had allegedly been raped repeatedly for the past six years.

A 25-year-old woman from Shahkot filed a complaint with the police that she had allegedly been raped repeatedly for the past six years. The accused, Manjinder Singh of Malsian, has been arrested. As per the complaint, he had first raped her in 2012 and had threatened her with dire consequences that if she tell it to anyone, he would kill her father and brother. But it was on August 18 that she decided to break her silence and lodge the complaint. — TNS
