Police DAV bags inter-school quiz trophy

Police DAV School, Jalandhar, bagged the first position in the Inter-school commerce and business quiz trophy that was concluded on Thursday at DAV College. The quiz aimed at Creating Holistic Excellency among youths of the country that was organised by the post graduate department of commerce and management.

The quiz was opened for both the students of CBSE and PSEB boards and basically organised to develop financial education among students by making them aware of finance, economics and general knowledge.

While students of Shiv Jyoti School clinched the second spot, Doaba Collegiate Senior Secondary School remained at the third spot followed by HMV Collegiate School with consolation prize.

Principal Dr SK Arora, chairman of the commerce department. Prof Arun Mehra, Prof Komal Soni, and others welcomed the students .

The competition was attended by students of commerce from 21 different schools in the city. There were three students from each team. The entire competition was divided into ten rounds, with the preliminary round taking a written test and four schools Police DAV College, Shiv Jyoti Public School, HMV Collegiate School, Doaba Collegiate Senior Secondary School qualified for the stage round.
