The Pakistani troops targeted a forward post in the Tarkundi area of Manjakot tehsil in Rajouri district about 1 pm. The injured have been identified as Major Yadaendra of J&K Light Infantry and Constable Mumtaz Ali of 59 Battalion of the BSF.

The Major received bullet injuries in his leg while the constable, a resident of Rajouri, was hit in the abdomen. “Both were evacuated and airlifted to the military hospital in Jammu. Their condition is stated to be stable,” sources said.
